The Winnipeg Film Group is pleased to initiate a group dedicated to the women who work in film, video and TV in Manitoba! Whether you are a filmmaker, producer, crew member, administrator or are looking to start out in either the industry or the independent side, please join us! All women interested in the media arts are welcome.
Our goal is to create a space for women to share stories, make connections and offer help, find crew, discuss opportunities, share info on jobs and to generally support one another.
Our first get together takes place on Sunday, January 18 from 2-4 PM in the WFG Studio, 305-100 Arthur Street. There will be tea, coffee and snacks and a casual atmosphere.
There is no set agenda for the group as this is the first meeting. It is our hope that the group will evolve to become whatever the members of the community need or want it to be.
