More Highlights:
• At Pelican Falls (September 8 – October 21st, Platform Gallery)
• Reception: October 4 / 9 – 10 PM in Platform Gallery.
In early July of 2017, artists Scott Benesiinaabandan, Florene Belmore and Rebecca Belmore spent a week together in Sioux Lookout, Ontario where the artist’s extended families are connected to this place and history. Referencing a photo from 1955 by John Macfie from the Ontario Archives they visited the old Pelican Falls residential school grounds to explore the territory and its importance. The resulting works articulate the visit and its significance in the dialogue between the artists.
A special partnership with PLATFORM and URBAN SHAMAN GALLERY.
