Urban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art has curated a film screening series as part of “A Place Between: A ’60s Scoop Art Project,” the first and largest group exhibition that focuses on the ’60s Scoop in Canada as well as current issues of Indigenous children being forcibly removed from their homes.
Two nights of film screenings will be presented at Cinematheque starting on Monday, April 24 at 7pm with Jackie Traverse’s Two Scoops, and Curtis Kaltenbaugh’s A Place Between. The second night – Tuesday, April 25 at 7pm, will feature Alanis Obomsawin’s Richard Cardinal: Cry from a Diary of a Metis Child, and Red Road: Ocangu-sa the Barry Hambly Story.
