INFORMATION FOR ACTORS

Are you an actor looking for an opportunity to hone your cold reading skills live on stage? Then come out to the WFG Script Reading Series

We pre-select scenes script submissions. At 12:30 p.m. the SRS team assigns all the roles in half an hour. It’s a lightning-fast casting frenzy. Actors have only minutes to read through their scripts before going live in front of the audience.

Getting in on the act

You don’t have to submit your headshot and resume, just come on down. If you don’t read on your first night, don’t worry! We’ll see you the next time.

Remember: casting starts at 12:30 pm.

Tips for Actors

  • The purpose of the Reading Series is to allow the writer to hear their work read aloud. So don’t improvise; stick to what’s on the page.
  • This is a seated reading. No rehearsal = no blocking.
  • Project your voice for everyone to hear.
  • No rehearsals. We’re live.
