Super 8 Experimental Workshop

Tue. May 19 / 7:30- 9, Sat. June 13 /10-4

Location: Winnipeg Film Group
Registration Fee: 120 – 170
Instructor: Mark Borowski

This multi-part workshop will:

Introduce you to super 8 cameras,

Give you an opportunity to shoot a cartridge of Super 8 film,

Teach you how to hand process your film,

Show you how to transfer your film via optical printer or projector, and

Get your film digital editing ready.

All for the low price of $120.00 (members) $170 (non-members)

Structure:

Introduction: Tuesday, May 19th from 7:30 PM-9:30 PM

Shooting period: May 19th – June 13th

Hand Processing: June 13th from 10AM-4PM

Transferring: Available during office hours with a tutorial from staff.

Screening of Films: TBD

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Mark Borowski is a small gauge fanatic whose short films have played internationally in film festivals over the last decade.

-The Winnipeg Film Group reserves the right to cancel any course where the minimum registration has not been met. Anyone registered for a course that has been cancelled is eligible for a full refund, Cancelled course fees may also be used towards any other Winnipeg Film Group training programs.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
