Description:
This is a two day workshop for those interested in learning more about the process of sound editing for music/film and composition. The course will be created to accommodate varying skill levels and will include individual hands on experience through different in-project exercises. Participants of the workshop will gain the skill of basic sound editing and the foundational knowledge of more advanced techniques in which they will be able to build on with more experience. Below is a brief syllabus of what will be covered during the workshop:

Joel Mierau Bio:
Joel Mierau is an artist and freelance sound engineer. Over the past 8 years living in Winnipeg, he has worked as a sound recordist, editor & mixer taking on numerous roles on projects within the music & film industry. He is also the Technical Director and Sound Recordist for the annual send+receive festival and has spent the past few years working out of Private Ear Recording Studio before departing last year to take on new opportunities.
