ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Instructor Laurie Lam earned an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where she also worked as a story analyst. For over a decade, her Introduction to Screenwriting course has been helping writers, directors, editors and cinematographers learn time-honoured principles (and at least one insider secret) to help them craft compelling, meaningful films.
As one student wrote after the class, “I found the screenwriting workshop very encouraging and inspiring, as well as technically useful — I’ve learned practically everything I know about screenwriting from books, so it was great to be able to ask a professional about the little nagging questions the books hadn’t answered for me.”
