Secret Cinema with Clint Enns

Sat, June 17 / 7pm
Admission by Donation
Black Lodge Studio
3rd floor of 100 Arthur St.

In Secret Cinema, our all-celluloid film series, films from our own archive of 16mm film prints are selected by guest curators. The film titles are kept secret until the night of the screening.

This month’s selection was made by writer and visual artist Clint Enns. Clint Enns has a PhD from the department of Cinema and Media Arts at York University and is currently researching digital vernacular photography at the University of Winnipeg through a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship. An adaptation of his article “Psychedelic Agit-Pop: The Animated Films of Tadanori Yokoo” will appear in Pop Cinema, a book exploring intersection of Pop Art and moving image art, co-edited by Glyn Davis and Tom Day for Edinburgh University Press.

Admission is by donation and the event will take place at the Winnipeg Film Group’s Black Lodge Studio (3rd floor of 100 Arthur St).

Generously sponsored by IATSE 856 Manitoba.
