Secret Cinema with Amanda Stefaniuk

Fri, Aug 7 / 7 PM
Black Lodge Studio (3rd Floor, 100 Arthur Street)
With guest curator Amanda Stefaniuk
Admission by donation

Amanda's love for movies stems from the fact that she literally grew up in her parents' video store in Beausejour, Manitoba.
A former DVD columnist for Uptown Magazine, she's currently the host of Mondo Hollywood on UMFM, a radio show specifically dedicated to soundtracks. It's an hour of curated film music every Sunday at noon on 101.5 FM.

Secret Cinema is a new all-celluloid film series beginning in June and continuing on the First Friday of every month. Each screening will feature a guest curator who will select classic 16mm films from our own collection, but the films are always a secret!

Admission is by donation and the event will take place at the Winnipeg Film Group’s Black Lodge Studio (3rd floor of 100 Arthur St).

ABOUT US

The Winnipeg Film Group is an artist-run education, production, exhibition and distribution centre committed to promoting the art of cinema.
our location

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
