Low Budget Cinematography Workshop

This 8 hour hands-on and lecture based workshop from local cinematographer Andrew Luczenczyn will be a script to screen overview of cinematography with a focus on productions with limited budget.  It is intended for those who are new to cinematography, students, and directors.

Topics covered will include:

– Analyzing scripts, from an artistic point and production point.

Where to look for resources and equipment to buy, rent, borrow or build.

-Site scouts and working with found locations.

-DIY techniques and equipment.

-Cinematography to maximize limited equipment.

-A hands on demonstrations of  lighting scenarios based on a short scenes .

Andrew Luczenczyn is a cinematographer based in Winnipeg, MB.  His feature films include H&G (dir. by Danishka Esterhazy) and This is Why We Fight (dir. by Madison Thomas), as well as many short films such as Backlanes and Fleeting Encounters.  He also co-owns Prairie Kid Productions with Thomas.

-The Winnipeg Film Group reserves the right to cancel any course where the minimum registration has not been met. Anyone registered for a course that has been cancelled is eligible for a full refund, Cancelled course fees may also be used towards any other Winnipeg Film Group training programs.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.
