*Note:  This workshop will take place on Zoom. You will receive an email with the link to participate.

This workshop will focus on the grants for individuals (both artists and curators), groups or collectives that may apply to Research and Create/Concept to Realization; covering both Media Arts (Moving Images and New Media) as well as Digital Arts. Find out about the peer assessment committee (jury) process, how to make a concise and persuasive argument for your project proposal and how to create a solid budget document.

There will be a general session with an overview of the program guidelines and application form as well as address the portal application process with a Q & A to follow. In order to make the most of these short meetings, we suggest that you prepare for this session by consulting the programs in advance. If artists, groups/collectives, and curators do not have a portal account with the Canada Council, they could also explore eligibility at: https://apply.canadacouncil.ca/.

Please email training@winnipegfilmgroup.com if you want to register for a spot.

Please note: CSIF members receive member pricing on all our current online workshops. If you are a CSIF member, please make note of it in our additional info when registering for a course.

ABOUT US

The Winnipeg Film Group is an artist-run education, production, exhibition and distribution centre committed to promoting the art of cinema.
our location

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
