Hone Your Producing Skills (All Spots Filled)

In conjunction with Cinematheque and Aiken Heart Films:

Hone your producing skills in this four hour long crash course by Coral Aiken in producing independent feature film. In this workshop, participants learn the process of taking a feature film from development to delivery from a producer’s perspective.

About the Instructor:
Former Winnipeg filmmaker Coral Aiken comes from a strong background in independent filmmaking in Winnipeg and is hugely talented and super friendly. She is a director and producer now based in Toronto though returns to Winnipeg frequently. Over the last few years she has developed very strong skills in film production for independent filmmakers as she learned her craft from the ground up. Aiken Heart Films is a production company based in Toronto specializing in developing new talent in film, television and digital cinema. Aiken Heart collaborates with a new generation of filmmakers to create relevant, thought-provoking and original films that resonate with audiences. Aiken Heart has screened work internationally, with films in competition at the Festival de Cannes Cinefondation, Rotterdam, and the Toronto International Film Festival. Founder Coral Aiken is an alumna of York University Film MFA, Berlinale Talents, Trans Atlantic Partners and was one of eight producers selected for TIFF studio in 2014.

-The Winnipeg Film Group reserves the right to cancel any course where the minimum registration has not been met. Anyone registered for a course that has been cancelled is eligible for a full refund, Cancelled course fees may also be used towards any other Winnipeg Film Group training programs.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.
