About: Creative Manitoba’s Careers in the Arts offers youth (ages 16-19) the chance to participate in a choice of four different group mentorship programs, with lead and guest mentors, culminating in a final event/presentation.

Dates: Thursdays, February 21 to April 18 (no class during spring break) plus a one-weekend shoot and film screening special event.
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm (snacks provided)

Location: Winnipeg Film Group (3rd Floor, 100 Arthur St. )
About Filmmaking program: The Youth Mentorship program in Filmmaking will introduce participants to the art of filmmaking, from writing and storytelling to the technical side of making films and the multi-faceted career options on the tech-crew side of the industry. Participants will have the opportunity to make a short film.
Youth will:
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude and interest in storytelling, writing, communications or technical aspects of filmmaking
- Articulate concise goals for participation (on application form)
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning
- Provide samples of film-work (links) as part of the application if possible
