Award winning film director Sean Garrity is coming to the WFG to teach a one day Directing Workshop that is sure to please the appetites of up and coming filmmakers!
In this one day Directing Workshop, Sean Garrity will go over his director’s process of translating a story from screenplay language to the language of cinema, so that it’s ready to shoot. Peppered with stories from set and clips from films – his own as well as some favorites – Sean will talk about putting just the right amount of each formal element into your soup, so that it comes out tasting the way you want it to.
Instructor Bio:
The feature films of award-winning filmmaker, Sean Garrity, have been translated into more than 15 languages, sold around the world, and the subject of numerous remakes. Sean’s work has been screened commercially across Canada and internationally, and selected by some of the world’s most prestigious festivals including Toronto, Busan, Shanghai, Mannheim, Torino, Singapore, Melbourne, Mar del Plata, South by SouthWest, Santa Barbara and Sao Paulo. His work has been awarded at the Toronto International Film Festival, The Canadian Comedy Awards, and film festivals around the world.
