In keeping with Ansel Adams, if the first half of the image is the negative then the second half is definitely the print. Colour correction can radically alter the final look of your project and understanding the production and post-production process will allow for more efficient realizations of your images. Theory, examples and ‘answer print’ demonstrations using colour correction software will show some of the many possibilities your images can go to further telling the story.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Ryan McGregor is an established member of Winnipeg’s camera department and has worked in all capacities on union and independent productions. In addition to being an independent cinematographer and stills photographer, Ryan was Winnipeg’s first union Digital Imaging Technician for digital cinema productions and has worked on such films as Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, ATM and Mad Ship. He specializes in on-set color grading and dailies deliverables for the Red camera and Arri Alexa as well as online color grading for independent productions.
