Cinematheque at Home: Whose Streets?

Plays June 12 - 26
Directed by Sabaah Folayan, Sabaah Jordan, & Damon Davis
2017, USA, 90 min

A nonfiction account of the Ferguson uprising told by the people who lived it, Whose Streets? is an unflinching look at how the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown inspired a community to fight back—and sparked a global movement.

Cinematheque at Home – curated by the Cinematheque – will offer new theatrical releases every week which our audiences can pay to stream through our website (by clicking the ‘buy tickets’ button). This is not only an opportunity for our patrons to see new cinema, but is an important way that they can continue to support independent film during this pandemic.

Reviews

Whether it's the "best" documentary of 2017 is a matter of opinion. But it is assuredly the most vital.
- David Fear, Rolling Stone
The film is very compelling as it focuses on a handful of protagonists on the front lines of the Black Lives Matter movement.
- Pat Mullen, POV Magazine
