In Katherine Jerkovic’s enthralling debut feature, a young woman struggles to rekindle her relationship with her paternal grandmother and her home country while mourning the death of her father. While still in mourning, Sarah travels from Montreal to a sleepy village in rural Uruguay to visit her father’s mother, Magda. Over a decade ago, Sarah and her parents left Uruguay and never returned. Driven by childhood memories, she hopes to renew her relationship with Magda and with her home country.

Canada‘s Top Ten Film Festival returns for the 18th year with a diverse and compelling line up of features and shorts. In January and February, we will present the first part of this program. Reviews

Roads in February closes with a lovely tableau that reunites grandmother and granddaughter in a shared and quite intimate activity that suggests they've grown at least a little closer. In the background the warm and gentle rain can be seen falling outside. It’s a gorgeously domestic scene.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.
