Dir. Claire Denis
2022, France, 116 min
French with English subtitles

Award-winning director Claire Denis reunites with Juliette Binoche and writer Christine Angot (Let the Sunshine In) for a romantic drama set largely over a few short days in wintry Paris. Radio-show presenter Sara (Binoche) and her ex-con husband, Jean (Vincent London), have been living happily together for years. But after Sara bumps into François (Grégoire Colin) — an old flame and Jean’s former best friend — she begins to question her relationship. A love triangle is firmly set when François asks Jean to work as a scout at his sports agency, drawing all three lives into a web of deception and desire. – TIFF

Reviews

Claire Denis and Juliette Binoche, who have now made three films together, are a match made in a gloriously idiosyncratic heaven.
- Stephanie Zacharek, TIME Magazine
Claire Denis' very interesting love triangle passive-aggressive cold war relationship saga is like a neo-noir without the crime.
- Peter Canavese, Celluloid Dreams
