House of Cardin is a rare peek into the mind of a genius, an authorized feature documentary chronicling the life and design of Pierre Cardin. Millions know the iconic logo and ubiquitous signature but few know the man behind the larger than life label. Ultimately, we seek to answer the question: Who is Pierre Cardin? What is the story behind this legendary icon? A true original, Mr. Cardin granted the directors exclusive access to his archives and his empire, and unprecedented interviews at the sunset of a glorious career.
Now in its ninth year, the Architecture + Design Film Festival (A+DFF) presents critically acclaimed films focusing on the importance of architecture and design in everyday life. The films cover a range of design-oriented topics from architecture and urban design to graphics and product design. A+DFF is the only festival in Canada devoted solely to architecture and design. This festival is generously supported by The Manitoba Association of Architects, The Winnipeg Foundation, the Faculty of Architecture Endowment Fund (University of Manitoba), and presented in partnership with Urban Idea and the WFG Cinematheque.
