There is an increasing number of people that believe that Adobe Premiere Pro is far superior than Final Cut Pro X. Come to this 2 day workshop to find out if that’s true and if this program is a better fit for you.

Karsten Wall will teach a two part series on organizing and editing long documentary projects in Adobe Premiere. Steps include…

-file organization
-creating proxies (including 4k)
-logging footage
-multicam sequences
-interview organizing
-assembly editing

Instructor Bio:

Karsten Wall is a freelance editor who started his career in Winnipeg in 2008. He first worked on a variety of commercial projects at Lank Beach Productions including the national advertising campaign for the opening of The Canadian Museum For Human Rights. In 2013 he branched off into the documentary world and edited numerous local films including “Visiting Day” by Konofilm Productions, which won the 2015 Golden Sheaf Award in Yorkton for Documentary Arts & Culture. Recently Karsten was an editor on season 1 and 2 of the TV show “Polar Bear Town”, produced by Merit Motion Pictures and filmed in Churchill Manitoba. Currently Karsten is working on “Almost Almost Famous”, a feature documentary for CBC Doc Channel. Along with being a professional editor, Karsten has also worked as a Story Editor, Animator and Digital Imaging Technician.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
