Mon, Mar 26 / 7 pm
FREE ADMISSION
Directed by Arnaud Larrieu & Jean-Marie Larrieu
2015, France, 115 min

Winnipeg Cinematheque and Alliance Française du Manitoba are again joining force to offer Winnipeggers a free screening of 21 NIGHTS WITH PATTIE on Monday 26 March. Enjoy a free French movie – with English subtitles – in our wonderful theater!

Due to unforeseen reasons, we had to end the screening on Saturday March 17.

A repressed forty-year-old Parisian named Caroline arrives in a small village in Southern France to arrange the funeral of her mother, a woman she barely knew. There her  mother’s former housekeeper, a talkative woman named Patti, shares with her the local gossip, some of which features her deceased mother’s love life. When her mother’s corpse  disappears, Caroline is forced to extend her visit and reluctantly engage with the cheerfully Dionysian community.

Sponsored by Alliance Francaise du Manitoba.

Reviews

An intelligent, sensitive, good looking, sexually frank comedy.
