Monica Lowe, the WFG’s Interim co-Executive Director and Distribution Director, is off to Australia for an International Residency thanks to a grant from the Canada Council. She will be in Melbourne for most of the month of June 2017.
Although Monica’s self-directed residency is primarily about her own professional development she will be, as usual, flying the flag for Winnipeg and Canadian filmmakers.
“I’m really excited to be working with Malcolm Turner and the rest of the team at the Melbourne International Animation Festival. I’ll be presenting the work of some of our great animators and hopefully meeting Australian animators and programmers who are interested in working with the WFG in the future.”
