WFG Welcomes new Distribution Coordinator

Sep 15, 2016

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Stephanie Berrington as the new Distribution Coordinator.

Stephanie Berrington recently graduated with a master’s degree in English, Film and Cultural Studies from McGill University. While in Montreal, she worked on a mobile, outdoor, bike-powered cinema project called Cinema Out of the Box, and she twice facilitated a course on contemporary film, literature and gender studies in the New School at Dawson College. Since moving back to Winnipeg in early 2016, Steph has been Volunteer Coordinator with the Winnipeg Underground Film Festival and has been making popcorn in the Cinematheque Box Office.

The Distribution Coordinator serves as the liaison between filmmakers and programmers. They oversee the films in our collection and coordinate all screenings and rentals for the films. Canadian filmmakers and video artists who wish to have their works distributed through the Winnipeg Film Group should contact Steph at 204-925-FILM ext. 105 or steph@winnipegfilmgroup.com or submit directly here.

Steph’s regular office hours will be Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 10:30-5:30 and Friday 10:30-4:30. Her office is in Room 018 in the basement of Artspace.

******

Our outgoing Distribution Coordinator, Niki Little, has accepted the position of National Director of NIMAC. Niki will help Steph transition into her new role over the next few weeks. Please join me in thanking Niki for her dedication to the films in our collection and the filmmakers we distribute.
