Dear Winnipeg Film Group Members,
Seventeen (17) Members have submitted a request for a Special Meeting of Members to the Winnipeg Film Group (WFG) Board of Directors. See the attached PDF of this request. Community feedback is indicative of the care and attention WFG Members have for the organization. The WFG Board is thus posting a Notice of Meeting open to all WFG Members, and will continue to listen to all concerns.

As per the WFG’s Bylaws (section 9.04):
Notice of a meeting of members called for any purpose other than consideration of the financial statements and auditor’s report, and reappointment of the incumbent auditor shall state the nature of such business in sufficient detail to permit the member to form a reasoned judgment thereon and shall state the text of any special resolution to be submitted to the meeting.
Below is the business to be addressed at the June 2nd Special Meeting, as set by the Members requesting the meeting:
-Discussion on the hiring process of the Executive Director
-Transitions within the Winnipeg Film Group
Please note that only WFG Members in good standing with an active membership have voting rights and are eligible to attend the Special Meeting of Members, subject to section 9.06 of the Bylaws. Feel free to refer to the WFG’s By-Laws (PDF), found at the bottom of the governance section of the WFG’s website.
