Mia’ | Vancouver International Film Festival

Oct 2, 2015

Amanda Strong and Bracken Hanuse Corlett’s latest animation Mia’ will be screening in the territory where it was created on Sunday, October 4 at the Vancouver International Film Festival. In this sublime mixed animation, Mia’ is an Indigenous street artist that transforms into a salmon and travels through decayed urban landscapes to the forests of long ago.

This film is distributed by the Winnipeg Film Group and recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Atlantic Film Festival and will screen at the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, Planet in Focus and will air on APTN and CBC in the next 6 months.

Congratulations to Amanda and Bracken and the whole creative team!
