imagineNATIVE kicks off today!

imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival begins today in Toronto, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, and the Huron-Wendat nations!

imagineNATIVE presents the world’s largest Indigenous film festival each October and this year marks the festival’s 19th iteration, taking place from Oct 17 to 21, 2018.

Several films from WFG Distribution will be screening this year, including My Boy, a short documentary by Sage; Nosisim by Sonya Ballantyne; Run as One: The Journey of the Front Runners by Erica Daniels; and Biidaaban (the dawn comes) by Amanda Strong.

Works by local filmmakers Madison Thomas, J. J. Neepin, and Roger Boyer have also been selected.
