Inventory

By Kent Tate | 00:02:24 | Experimental | 01/10/2015

Often the very things that appear to enable a sense of security, stability, and status can be disrupted, or rendered obsolete, destined to become a memory, or simply just forgotten. On the other hand, things that frame our passions while informing our dreams have the very real potential of retaining their meaning, regardless of any…

Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton

By Evan Johnson, Galen Johnson, Guy Maddin | 00:31:09 | Documentary, Experimental | 14/09/2015

Guided by the spirit of Evan Johnson's Cuadecec Manifesto (which calls for makings-of en masse), Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton is a strange, stirring and anarchic behind-the-scenes look at Paul Gross's new feature, Hyena Road.

Phantom City

By Patrick Jenkins | 00:06:30 | Animation, Narrative-Fiction | 7/09/15

In a big city a young woman sees a movie called “Naked Angels”. What appears to be a film noir is actually a passage through the fourth wall. This beautiful game with reality does what only animation can. A nice jazzy score is a binding element in a sequence of bizarre twists.
