Arousing Adventures of Sailor Boy, The

By Jennifer Bisch | 00:08:30 | Experimental | 01/07/2002

Sailor boys are the stuff of dreams in the prairie provinces. Bisch proves that this lack doesn't make them any less desirable. You are not going to wake up from this one without getting a little wet.

Abandon Bob Hope All Ye Who Enter Here

By Kevin D.A. Kurytnik | 00:07:23 | Animation, Comedy, Experimental | 31/10/1996

A bastard satirical mutation of Gustave Doré's Divine Comedy engravings of the Inferno and those oversized "how-to" animation books that were put out by Hal Foster. SEE the hand of Cartoon Fate! TRY to figure out why Bob Hope's skull is in this film! Dante and Doré meet Disney in Hell!

genizah; passages from the lublin book graveyard

By Solomon Nagler | 00:10:00 | Experimental | 26/05/2018

Passages retrieved from the lublin genizah, a ruinous non-archive where the sacred is slowly being released from its corporal form.

Konstruktion Aria

By James Pomeroy | 00:03:15 | Animation, Experimental | 15/12/2017

Konstruktion Aria is both a work of visual music and an examination of visual "reading". Shot frame by frame on Super 8 film in one unedited take, it uses pixilation of surfaces and "musical" variations to achieve movement and rhythm out of stasis.

A Drop Across

By Elinor Svoboda | 00:15:04 | Experimental, Narrative-Fiction | 1/09/17

We meet Charlotte in three parallel realities as she encounters her love interest Harlow, some for the first time and another for the last. This layered cycle is disturbed by a fourth version of Charlotte, who wanders the corners of each life from another dimension. She is omniscient, seeing and feeling everything her counterparts experience.…

I am the Captain of this Ship

By Roger D. Wilson (Cooper) | 00:05:57 | Documentary, Experimental | 1/01/18

Numbness, dissociation, and isolation were the only survival techniques he knew and the forest and his own mind became his stage and his safeguard.

Clamber

By Susan Turner | 00:03:26 | Animation, Experimental | 20/12/2016

The noise of the street, road construction, the screeching and clashing of large metal machinery gradually break down the artist’s psychic self-defense. She begins to consider isolation, loneliness, fear, and the feelings of being invisible. It becomes impossible for her to keep the external world out. A psychic migraine.

Trembling Like a Leaf in the Wind

By Susan Turner | 00:04:24 | Animation, Experimental | 20/12/2016

Using footage and audio of the last few months of her mother’s life (piano playing, coughing, breathing) and intertwining them with her own abstract images, the artist takes the viewer through her poetic narration of her mother’s last, quiet moments.

Undone

By Erin Buelow | 00:15:59 | Experimental, Narrative-Fiction, Poetry | 1/01/18

"If it wasn’t for the ground and if it wasn’t for the ground." Undone explores the troubled language of the tactile body – the touches that make and unmake, bind and unbind.

Hot Anger

By Gwen Trutnau | 00:05:30 | Experimental | 3/10/17

Her anger is like a fever. Burdened by her oppressors she battles through the darkest corners of space, and its unknown inhabitants. But none more alien than her own consciousness.
