Canadian Film Day is approaching next Wednesday, April 18 and our friends at NSI and Urban Shaman are presenting a FREE screening and reception for the occasion!
Mia’, a short animation by Amanda Strong and Bracken Hanuse Corlett that is distributed by the WFG, kicks off the 7pm screening at Landmark (Towne) Cinema (301 Notre Dame). It will be followed by The Road Forward, a feature-length musical documentary by Marie Clements.
The screening is preceded by a reception at Urban Shaman (203-290 McDermot) with food, prizes, and beverages from 4:30-6:30pm on the 18th.
Both the filmmaker (Clements) and the film’s subject, Doreen Manuel, will be in attendance.
