Bilingual WFG program on VUCAVU for free

Mar 20, 2019

WFG Distribution is pleased to launch the Canada Council-funded Found in Translation project online after a series of screenings in Quebec and Switzerland!

We’ve had over 30 titles from our distribution collection translated and subtitled into French to increase the accessibility of our catalogue and engage new audiences.

We’ve curated the subtitled films into four themed programs which will be presented in Winnipeg at Cinematheque over the coming months and then released for free streaming on VUCAVU.

The first of the four programs is now live on VUCAVU after a Cinematheque screening on International Women’s Day (March 8) in conjunction with Alliance Française’s French Film Festival.

Visit VUCAVU before April 26 to view 11 bilingual films directed by women, including works by Jessie Short, Danielle Sturk, Tricia Wasney, Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan, Erica Eyres, Eve Majzels, Michelle Elrick, Caroline Monnet, Amanda Strong, Leslie Supnet, and Rhayne Vermette!

To learn more about the films in the WFG collection, please email distribution@winnipegfilmgroup.com or call 204-925-FILM x 103 or 105.
