Directed by Kazik Radwanski
2019, Canada, 75 min
With his two previous films Tower and How Heavy This Hammer Kazik Radwanski moved to the front of a new generation of great Canadian filmmakers. His work is spare, inventive and tightly shot. In his new film Anne (Deragh Campbell) has a seemingly ordinary life as a single daycare worker in Toronto. But a skydiving trip for her best friend Sara’s bachelorette party shifts the ground beneath her feet. She begins to bring a care-free joyfulness to her conservative job and the effects spill over into her personal life.
