2nd BILINGUAL WFG PROGRAM STREAMS ON VUCAVU FOR FREE

May 2, 2019

WFG Distribution is pleased to launch the Canada Council-funded project “Found in Translation” online after a series of screenings in Quebec and Switzerland!

We have translated and subtitled a selection of films from our distribution collection into French to increase the accessibility of our catalogue and engage new audiences in Canada and internationally. These 36 subtitled films have been curated into four themed programs which will be presented in Winnipeg at Cinematheque between March and June and then released for free streaming on VUCAVU – a national platform for discovering independent Canadian media art.

The second of the four programs – Animating the Good and the Bad / Animer le bien et le mal – is now live on VUCAVU following a screening at our Cinematheque on National Canadian Film Day – April 17.

Visit VUCAVU between April 18 and May 30 to view 11 animated films directed by Alain Delannoy, Trevor Kristjanson, Mike Maryniuk, Alison Davis, John Paizs, Patrick Lowe, Murray Toews, Jackie Traverse and Leslie Supnet.

In total the four programs will screen more than 30 times in 10 cities in Canada and Europe. To learn more about “Found in Translation /Traduction Fidèle” click here.

To learn more about the films in the WFG collection, please email distribution@winnipegfilmgroup.com or call 204-925-FILM x 105.
