The Winnipeg Film Group Has its own Oxberry animation stand that has been set up to allow for working with experimental analog techniques alongside
The Oxberry animation stand opens the door to dynamic animations through camera movements, dynamic lighting, and exposure control.
This workshop is an introduction that will cover the basics of using the stand and controlling the camera in real-time from the main control panel. The skills and knowledge that you will acquire will enable you to make analog films on the stand and give you base skills that you will need to be able to learn how to integrate the time-line based OMOCO programmer and use of dragon frame with a digital camera in the future.
Previous experience with 16mm cameras is an asset but not required if replaced with enthusiasm.
