Once a month, comedian, star and co-founder of Kids in the Hall, comic Kevin McDonald will present a handpicked film from the archives of comic history.
Based upon Nathaniel Benchley’s novel “The Off-Islanders”, this film is a classic cold-war comedy depicting the havoc created on a mythical Massachusetts island when a grounded Russian sub gets stuck on a sand bar. The skipper sends his top officer out to find a boat to tow the sub to safety and he and his crew confront the townspeople.
