The Art of the Music Video Workshop is an intense, hands-on, two day workshop on how to create and edit a music video with instructor Landon Lake.
Day One will focus on the creative process:
- Writing
- Budgeting
- Set design,
- lighting, directing and film techniques.
At the end of day one, participants will film a short scene that will be intercut with footage of a musician playing.
Day Two will focus on post production on Premiere Pro.
- Organizing your project
- Editing techniques
- Basic colour grading
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Landon Lake is a director/producer/DOP who started work in film in Tokyo, Japan. He directed music videos for Japanese bands for a few years before moving back to Winnipeg to further pursue his career in film. He is currently working on many ongoing projects for local musicians, as well as his own short films.
