This 2 part workshop will focus on writing a short script. Milos Mitrovic will go over the 8 sequences in a script and the 3-act structure. Each participant will be required to bring a new idea to the class so they can turn it into a script by the end of this workshop.
Week one: Sun Oct 18th – 10 AM – 2 PM
Talk about the eight sequences of screen writing as well the as the 3 acts.
Go through classic scripts such as Casablanca and Citizen Kane and pinpoint the 3 act structure and the eight sequences in each script.
Brainstorming ideas for scripts.
Have students write a 10 minute script for the following week.
Week two: Oct 25th – 10 AM – 2 PM
Read scripts and have students pinpoint the act structure and the sequences
