The Windows Collective is made up of six Ottawa artists who create independent films as part of their artistic practices. Pixie Cram, and Roger D. Wilson from the collective are excited to hold this 2 day workshop on creating and manipulating rayographs.
Rayograph: An image produced without a camera by placing an object on photosensitive paper or film and exposing it to light.
In this two day class, each participant will receive one roll of B&W still 35mm film.
Day One: Creating the Rayographs and Processing. Each participant will design, expose and develop their own 24 frames of 35mm film.
Day Two: Tinting and toning and other mirage manipulation techniques. (Be Prepared to get messy)
I will transfer the rolls to digital images the following week if you choose to use these images for your next film or to keep them for posterity.
