By giving participants hands on experience with the gear and procedures they will feel confident showing up for their first day on set.
You can expect to learn:
• what’s in a 2nd ACs camera bag
• marking actors during blocking
• slating
• how to make camera reports
• lens changing and maintenance
• media management
• building the camera
• setting up the wireless transmitter and follow focus motor
• setting up video village
• troubleshooting on set
• focus pulling
• what a day looks like on set (every day is different)
• documentary vs narrative shoots (and how the job changes between the two)
