500 miles on foot. Bunk-beds. Blisters. Stunning landscapes. World-class snorers. Hot searing sun, cold rain. Kindness from strangers. Debilitating injury. Unexpected romance. No toilet paper. Profound grief and deep doubt. Hunger. Laughing. Total exhaustion. You are guaranteed to experience all of this when walking the ancient pilgrim path, the Camino de Santiago. This award-winning documentary follows the spiritual journey of six travelers from different parts of the world who all attempt to walk the 500-mile ancient Spanish pilgrimage route to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
JIM RONDEAU, Provincial MLA, (and a member of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims) will introduce the September 25, 7 pm screening of Walking the Camino. He has just returned from completing his third walk there. The Canadian Company of Pilgrims (CCoP) is a non-denominational volunteer-run association that supports Canadians planning the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
