SESSION 2: Sat Aug 16 (1 PM to 4 PM)

Location: Millennium Library

The Winnipeg Film Group partners with the Millennium Library to show you how to use a smartphone to capture video and then edit it into a short movie using free online software. This interactive workshop will show ways to enhance your movie by applying a variety of filmmaking techniques and adapting accessories such as tripod, microphones, lights and lenses using the Beastgrip universal rig system.

Participants are required to bring their own smartphone (camera-ready iPhone, Android or Windows smartphones only).

Please note this is a workshop for the non filmmaker – NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! We will start from the very beginning in terms of covering off the very basics of shooting techniques and freeware editing software available for use by anyone within a PC, MAC or Linux browser!
