48 Hour Film Contest Event Registration

Ever wanted to make a film? Like a challenge? Now’s your chance! We are bringing back the 48 HOUR FILM CONTEST! All are welcome to participate.

The premise is simple. Participants sign up on a first come, first served basis and as long as you live in the province of Manitoba you are welcome. The entry fee is $10. The max # of participants are 20 teams/films. Participants are tasked to write, shoot, edit, score and complete an original short in just two days. The films are screened at Cinematheque and judged in front of an audience and jury at 7pm on Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Registration: 12pm Wed, July 2, 2014 – 12pm Fri, July 4, 2014. REGISTRATION IS FULL!

Contest key: Released 12pm Friday, July 4, 2014 – MUST COME DOWN to the Winnipeg Film Group, 304 – 100 Arthur Street Winnipeg, MB. R3B 1H3

Screening: Sunday, July 6 at 7pm at the Cinematheque. Buy tickets!

our location

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
