ONE ON ONE’S WITH MARIE LOSIER

In conjuction with her visit for Just A Million Dreams: A Retrospective of Marie Losier’s Fantastical Portraiture, co-presented by WNDX, Marie Losier (France) will deliver one-on-one workshops with filmmakers and artists of any background and experience. This is your opportunity to get first-hand feedback on your project, your career or just life in general on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Each session will last one hour, time and date of one on one will be coordinated after all spots are filled.

Limited to 6 participants. Registration through the Winnipeg Film Group and is open to the Access Bursary Fund.

ABOUT MARIE LOSIER

Marie Losier is one of the most innovative practitioners of expanded portraiture; engaging with her subjects in performative, whimsical situations, which often reach a unique level of emotional depth through unexpected meansl through flashes of color, dance, bravado, drones and noise. Her work has won multiple awards and has screened in some of the most prestigious film venues including the Venice Biennale and the Berlin Film Festival.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.

The Winnipeg Film Group is located on Treaty 1 Territory and on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene Peoples and in the homeland of the Métis Nation. We offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land.
