CINEMATOGRAPHY SERIES: TECHNICAL FILM & VIDEO THEORY

CINEMATOGRAPHY SERIES: TECHNICAL FILM & VIDEO THEORY

SAT, APR 28 / 1 - 5pm

Location: WFG Studio
Registration Fee: 60 – 90
Instructor: Andrew Forbes

What are the differences between using film or video for your production? In this lecture, we’ll explore elements of the two recording formats: what are the similarities and, more pertinently, what differentiates one from the other. Attention will be paid to the characteristic curve, technical elements that affect image, colour representation, image size, physical characteristics and the production chain.  A portion of this lecture will also focus on blue/green screen shooting. (This class is a pre-requisite for the three other workshops)

For more information on workshops, please contact the Training & Outreach Programs Coordinator at 925-3450 or darcy@winnipegfilmgroup.com
